I have to make this quick because im sitting outside the front doors of John Cabot on the street because me and Sallie are to cheap to pay for internet. :) dad, arent you proud? Last night i had a really really great night/experiance. sallie and i were in bed around 10:30 and couldnt get to sleep so we put on some shoes and walked down to the piazza and got some gelato and watched some acrobat shows. around 12 we headed home and ran into a fellow jcu student (brent) and his dad at the tram stop. it turns out his brother came to JCU 3 years ago to study abroad, transfered to JCU bc he loved it, met an italian girl and got married. Brent and his dad talked us into going with them to meet his brother and sister in law. (we were in out pajamas) we ended up at this piazza near termini station with a mass of locals all just sitting around talking, playing music, hanging out. there wasnt one american in sight. after everything closed down around 230 we walked to a hole in the wall sandwich shop and i let Luigia (the sister-in-law) order for me...it was the best thing and cheapest thing i have had since i have been here. after that we walked to a pub that was closed but the owner (Umberto) let us come in and we played "bang" a card game about outlaws/sheriffs/renegades. Umberto sat by me and told me how to play in english and then in italian. i may not know how to communicate, but i know how to say "remmington" "i shot the sheriff" and "bangAAA" in italian. When we finally decided it was time to go we walked out of the doors into broad daylight. I finally went to bed at about 7am but it was worth it! I have my first day of Italian class tomorrow and I am sooo excited.
