my weekend

on thursday night me and all 6 of my room mates went out together for the 1st time and we had a blast. we went to campo di feuri (sp?) which is a big piazza with many different places all around. we ran into a group of students that also go to jcu and we all stayed together and "ROMEd" around...haha get it? i met many italians and attempted to speak italian to all of them and it was so much fun when they knew what i was saying. ...side note...a guy came to fix our internet in our apt and my room mate tried to ask him how many kids he has and instead she asked him how many mushrooms he has. HAHAHA ...anyway, when italian guys meet you and want to give u their number they give u a business card, its really wierd, we all came home with a stack of business cards from where all these guys worked like car shops, restraunts, a gas station...classy huh? me and my room mates had a lot of fun that night and im really starting to like them a lot. we are all really different but it makes it really fun and interesting.

we went to bed at about 4 am and me and sallie had to wake up at 6 to catch the train to elba. we got on the bus to the train station going to opposite way, finally got on the right one, got to the train station with about a min. to spare, got a train tickets and rannnn to the platform just in the nick of time. we layed down in a car we had all to ourselvs and woke up as we arrived in campillia, then we realized that the train stops for about 2 min before it heads on its way so we grabbed our stuff and jumped out, i didnt even put on my shoes. we then got on the bus to portofino and later the ferry to elba. we arrived in elba and it was beautiful. the water was aqua and the sand was white. we got to our hotel that was in the mountains, put on our swim suits and walked down a little path that lead us right onto the sand. we laid out our towels (i put on my sleeping mask haha) and laid in the sun sleeping for about 3 hours. it was marvelous. we woke up to these guys carrying around fresh pineapple and coconut "anana's a cocobello" of course i woke up to food...we got some and it was soo good! later on we went back up to the hotel and took our first warm showers since we got here-mmm. we went down to dinner and realized that we didnt have a choice of what to eat...the waiter brought out 4 courses of seafood spaghetti, bread, pork, fruit and dessert. bellisimo. we went to bed and walked around to centro for a while today and then headed back home we just got back to the apartment because there was a bad traffic jam...roma won some big soccer game and so everyone decided to get in there cars and hang out in the street, yelllll, honkkk, talk about the game, yell, honk some more, wave there flags all around incase someone forgot they were for rome. because they are in rome. incase someone forgot who won the game that ended 5 min ago. but we got home safe and sound and now i am hitting the hay. i miss and love you all so much and loveeeee it when i get comments it makes me so excited.

too bad my dad doesnt leave me any...............douglas.

p.s. if anyone can make any senseout of a badaey (sp? the thing to clean you hiney) let me know. i dont know why it is nessecery and i have been wondering. i just dont get why that appliance is vital to life here. they are everywhere. give me your ideas...
